Privacy Policy

Joke Box ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, including:

• No personal identification information
• No location data
• No device identifiers
• No usage analytics
• No advertising identifiers
• No user accounts or profiles
• No contact information
• No photos or media
• No payment information

The App stores joke history locally on your device only using iOS UserDefaults. This data includes:

• Jokes you've heard today
• Joke IDs to prevent repetition
• Your favorite jokes
• Date of last use

This data never leaves your device, is not backed up to iCloud, is automatically cleared daily (except favorites), and can be deleted by deleting the app.

When you flag a joke using the report button, the joke text and your selected reason are sent to our feedback service. No personal information, device identifiers, or account data is included with this report.

The App fetches jokes from JokeAPI, a free public API. When you request a joke, a network request is made to v2.jokeapi.dev. No personal information is sent. JokeAPI's safe-mode is enabled to filter inappropriate content.

Joke Box is designed for children ages 5 and up. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or any other users.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
